Box Office Micro Dwell

I have been incredibly interested in Tiny Homes and plan to build one sometime in the near future! So when I heard there was a Micro Dwell exhibit at the Shemer Art Gallery a couple weeks ago. I put my sun hat/sunscreen on and was out the door to check it out! There were some really great ideas, and most of the building designs only had a few weeks to actually create the build together. I took the craftsmanship of all the different structures with a grain of salt. With and knowledge that most the structures are concepts built in only about three weeks. (That's Crazy Short time period!)
I had the opportunity to meet one of the teams that built a structure called "The Box Office" . Such a cute name for a portable office structure and space. Which was designed and built by a team of 7 ASU art design, and engineering students who.. are all women!
Some of the cool parts of this particular structure is that the team made the walls out of the same material as a fridge door with foam as insulation and wood frame. Another cool aspect is that one end of the structure is on a casters and rolls out allowing the structure to become bigger and have a more outdoor porch feel. Another cool fact about the structure is that Most of the materials were donated. All of this in about three weeks! too cool and good job ladies it's very inspiring!
