The start of Luxembourg

Camille and I unexpectedly ended up spending the night in a hotel due to a wifi outage at the airbnb. Thanks to my friend Andrea who is a wiz at hotel arrangements we scored an affordable last minute room right up the street from City Center and the Beautiful lush green views were a total bonus! We also still needed to find a replacement airbnb and were crossing our fingers for one that would meet the needs.. Camille was scheduled for an early rise to teach a workshop and I needed to stay up late (3am) to work remote.  I had to bounce between the Lobby and the hotel room, and ended up keeping Camille awake.

after a late night and still not fully in the time transition, I woke up early too. Which worked out perfect, because they had a nice included breakfast with the hotel room. Packed Up and on to the day's adventure to City Center with work planned later that night.

The streets were bustling with people going to work.. City Center is kind of like an out door mall full of restaurants and shops. There are cheese shops, pastry shops, clothing stores, tea shops, butchers.

Things along the way.

  • Walked past an "Arizona Bar", and it made me giggle.
  • Found a Benetton store!  I used to have the cologne and loved it..
  • Beautiful Garden Fountain at a park near the hotel
  • Had a meal at Le Duke's by the Palace

We did end up finding an even better Airbnb in the most beautiful spot. I think it was Divine intervention. I waited at Le Duke's for Camille so we could got to the natural grocers before getting to the new homestead. But then.... bum bum bum... a police officer pulled her over because he saw her look down. She had her phone in the seat next to her but had been using GPS in the car's console. The officer gave her a ticket and she had to pay 200 euro on the spot. By the time we found each other, Camille was so upset, and we were both tired. We still needed to get food and I still needed to hop online until 2am..  We made the best of it and we were both so thankful to be in a great new place in walking distance to everything.
